State Fair (2008)
It is the summer of 1946 and the Frake family head to the Iowa State Fair. Mom and Pop have their hearts set on blue ribbons for their mincemeat and prize boar, while their son and daughter find romance and heartbreak on the midway. This is a show that will be enjoyed by the whole family.
This Rodgers and Hammerstein musical won a Best Song Academy Award for “It Might As Well Be Spring”. Other songs include “It’s a Grand Night for Singing” and “Our State Fair”.
